Biography

As a loving husband and a father to three daughters and one son, Dr. Lateef has served the Orlando community for over three decades with compassionate patient-centered care.

Born in the storied city of Hyderabad in India, Dr Lateef is fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu, with a working knowledge of Spanish, Telugu, & Arabic. An alumnus of Gandhi Medical College at Osmania University, he went on to complete a residency in internal medicine at New York Medical College and specialize in gastroenterology and liver diseases at Mt. Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Lateef has a special interest in inflammatory bowel diseases, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, as well as colorectal screening. He has an expertise in advanced therapeutic colonoscopic and endoscopic techniques. He is also board-certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Lateef contributes to the community by volunteering his time at free clinics. Passionate about philanthropy, he continues to expand educational opportunities by establishing scholarships and supporting school infrastructure.

Traveling globally, he enjoys skiing and snorkeling. Locally, he can be often seen cycling with his wife around our state’s beautiful lakes and waterways.
